PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2003 (current) Presenter and reporter – ITV Anglia

§         I am an accomplished live studio and location presenter with three years experience with the daily news-magazine programme, Anglia Tonight.

§         I report on short news stories and longer features, generating and researching my own ideas. I provide informative PTCs and have an engaging interviewing style. I edit my packages using Avid Newscutter. I aim to include a diverse range of views that our audience can relate to.

§         8 months as a Production Journalist has given me a sound knowledge of television broadcasting. I can write NIBs and news packages, produce bulletins, and always offer creative story ideas and developments.

§         My relaxed and professional presenting style has allowed me to become a high profile and recognisable part of the on-screen team.

2002 - 2003     Vocals and appearance in Stephen Poliakoff’s ‘Friends and Crocodiles’ for the BBC

§         I recorded five songs and appeared in two scenes for the feature television drama screened in January 2006.

2002 - 2003     Radio broadcaster – Broadland 102,

§         Freelance journalist in the newsroom and a key feature in the top regional breakfast show, reporting live from location while completing challenges with the help of our listeners.

2002 - 2003     Freelance reporter – The Great Yarmouth and Waveney Advertisers, Gorleston

EDUCATION 

2000 - 2003     Goldsmiths College, University of London – BA Media and Communications

§         The course was 50% philosophical and social thinking, 50% practical journalism.

§         I received a 1st in the journalism course due to a talent for finding and realising story ideas and for securing an interview with Radio One presenter Edith Bowman.
